An unbeaten 93 off just 58 balls from David Warner helped the Sunrisers Hyderabad chase Gujarat’s Lions’ total of 162/7 with four wickets in hand in the second qualifier of the 2016 Indian Premier League in Delhi on Friday. The win took Hyderabad into the final against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday, while Gujarat will have to settle for third place after topping the league table.

Earlier, a half-century from Aaron Finch helped Gujarat post a par 162/7 on the board after being asked to bat first.

Here is how the action unfolded:

11.35 pm: SRH 163/6 in 19.2 overs (Warner 93*, B Sharma 27*)

And it’s all over! Warner does an ABD! He replies to PK’s words in the bowler’s previous over by smashing him past point for four to kill the match. A single then does the job as Warner leaps in the air and roars! What a win this has been! Absolutely stellar knock – 93 not out off 58 balls – and he won’t be disappointed the least bit that he missed out on a hundred.

SRH will face RCB in the final on Sunday in Bengaluru.

11.30 pm: SRH 158/6 in 19 overs (Warner 88*, B Sharma 27*)

Bravo is back for his fourth and Warner gets a thick edge to the deep point boundary for four. Finch then saves two runs at the cover boundary with an exceptional fielding effort, but cannot stop the ball from reaching the rope the very next ball. Bipul Sharma finishes the over with a monstrous six straight down the ground! What an over! Nineteen off it and SRH have one leg in the final! Just five needed off the last over.

11.24 pm: SRH 139/6 in 18 overs (Warner 75*, B Sharma 21*)

Kulkarni is back for his last over and gives just two runs from the first four balls. Bipul Sharma then shuffles across and flicks him over deep backward square-leg for six. Two come off the last ball, with SRH needing 24 from the last two overs.
